A Week in The Life of Your Roving Reporter
(Not So Much Roving Due to You Know What) 180920

Where shall we start, I think it should be the most important, RAM Provincial Meeting on Tuesday the 15th which was held using the Zoom platform.

The Annual Provincial Meeting of the Ancient and Honourable Fraternity of
Royal Ark Mariners of West Lancashire. (Virtual Business Meeting) 150920

The Meeting was opened on time at 10am by the Provincial Grand Master RW Bro. Keith Alan Beardmore, R.A.M.G.R. which on this occasion due to the Corona Virus Pandemic was conducted via the Zoom Platform.
How nice it was to see so many smiling friendly faces once again and I’m sure we are all wondering just how long it’s going to be before some normality is returned to our lives.
Once all the greetings were exchanged the PGM opened the meeting on time and worked through the order of business in fine style complete with a couple of pleasant surprises for two of members, he was pleased to announce that W.Bro. Frank Thomas RAMGR would receive the RAM Order of Merit Jewel, which is a very special award and I’m sure he will be delighted to receive it, Keith then announced that he was also delighted to have received from the Mark Benevolent Fund a Grand Patron Diamond Collarette for presentation to his Deputy VW Bro. Geoffrey Lee for his outstanding contributions to the Fund, he held it up to the camera for us all to see and said he would pass it on to him the next time he was in the office.  Both of these awards received a suitable round of applause (even though it was silent)
All too soon the meeting was coming to an end but not before Keith had given us one of his famous jokes, the only thing is I can’t remember which one it was, during his address he wished that everyone would keep safe and to keep in touch with their family, friends and Bothers in Freemasonry and hopeful that next year we will be able to get together once again in person and enjoy our meetings once more.

The rest of the week will be in another report, I promise you it’s nearly as good (or bad) as the shed build.
